Se spune că, în decisiv, tot ce-ți dorești e să ai o șansă. Las aici simpatica & adevărata povestire (nu minut cu minut, dar pas cu pas) a decisivului de ieri, din meciul Selby vs Hawkins. S-ar putea numi „decisivul celor 11 șanse.” Povestirea e scrisă de un amic scoțian :
"I've just watched the decider! What an incredible one it was!
What a cracker of a red Selby potted to enable the 1st chance. Was a bit unfortunate that he didn't have any pot on after he potted the black. Had to play safe after making 36. Shortly after that, he gets his 2nd bite, but misses a long red.
Right after that, Barry pots a red to the middle, but fails to get on a colour.
After a bout of safety, Barry goes for a tough long red, but misses and he leaves a red for Selbs – which Selbs gets. He then pots the black, but is a bit unfortunate not to land on any red after a canon.
Barry then pots a cracking long red, but that's all he manages as he then misses an easy black. His break ends on 14.
After another wee bit of safety, Barry gets another chance, but only makes 8. He laid a tough snooker which ends up earning him his 4th chance. He pots a red, but misses the blue. He leaves Selby a red to the green bag, but he misses it, and leaves the red plum over the green bag.
Chance nr 5 for Barry. After 8, he snookers himself behind the pink, trying to gain position on the final red.
After that, some very saftey safety from Selbs earns him his chance, the final red to the yellow bag, but he misses and leaves it for Barry.
Barry pots it, then pots the green, then the yellow, green and brown, BUT, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT, trying to get on the blue, he snookers himself again, this time behind the black!
And then, after some cracking safety from both, Selby goes and pulls out an absolute rasper of a blue to the green bag and then has a pink even I couldn't miss.
What an amazing decider! I think it's fair to say that both of them bottled-choked – Barry bottled-chocked a tad more though.
Both had plenty of chances, ok, most weren't easy ones, but they had plenty!
Barry had 6 chances!
Selby had 5 chances!"

Cred că în al 8-lea frame din meciul Ding vs MJW s-a stabilit un nou record la totalul de puncte/frame : 195. Cât de frustrant trebuie să fie pentru Ding să aibă pe tabela de scor 94 de puncte și totuși să piardă jocul ! Dacă nu mă înșel, precedentul record era de 192 și le aparținea lui Peter Lines + Dominic Dale, care au ajuns la cifra asta în 2012, la Wuxi.

Interesant de văzut, acum, pe cine a „terminat” acest frame-record de azi. Deocamdată, s-ar zice că pe Ding : galezul e iar la conducere, cu 5-4.
Da' de unde ! Dingulețul și-a ținut firea, a egalat și a câștigat și decisivul ! Și nu oricum : cu un sutar !
În orice caz, pentru ambii jucători.

| Aa, Eurosport ?! Atunci e mai degrabă neglijență ori superficialitate. Au angajați & colaboratori acolo, nu e ca și cum se ocupă de toate numai un singur om. Oare nu observă nimeni când apare o eroare ?... Cum zice Hendry : "That's careless !”
